From Highway 3 to the US Border, for locations such as Medicine Hat and Lethbridge, blowing snow may be less widespread, but periods of heavy flurries may combine with strong winds to generate very low visibility locally. Additionally, sharp drops in temperature, as much as 14 degrees in one hour, have been reported in that area. There, any remaining slush or pooling water is likely to freeze as temperatures drop rapidly this afternoon and evening. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
