Urban Chickens

TELL THE CITY YOUR VIEW!

Medicine Hat is reviewing the Land Use Bylaw and would like your feedback about revising the wording to include the possibility to raise urban hens. By replacing the word “chicken” with “rooster” in the definition of livestock, the city could allow for urban hen keeping with zero tax payer dollars invested. This red tape reduction will enhance food security and personal freedom for the residents of the city who choose to raise a small number of birds in a safe and nuisance-free way.
