Hazardous winter conditions are expected tonight and Tuesday morning. A short burst of heavy rain showers or flurries is expected late tonight, along with strong northwest winds gusting to 90 km/h. This will be followed by a rapid drop in temperature, likely causing any wet surfaces to freeze. Icy surfaces may form quickly and be difficult to detect. High sided vehicles may be blown around by the wind. In flurries, visibility may be quickly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Consider postponing non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve. Winter Storm Warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather (such as snow, freezing rain, wind and rain) are expected or occurring.
