As part of the Saamis 40th anniversary celebration, we are excited to host a special event for history enthusiasts and curious minds alike. We invite everyone to bring their artifacts and collections to the event, where two professional archaeologists will be on site to help identify and provide information about the items, shedding light on their origins and significance. Whether you have discovered an old arrowhead, a mysterious bone, or any other artifact in your yard or field, this event presents a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the area. This event is a fantastic opportunity for landowners and community members to contribute to the understanding of our region’s rich history.

The archaeologists are particularly interested in documenting where each item was found, which could provide valuable clues for mapping hunting and migration patterns in the area. Please note that the experts will not take any items brought in for identification; they are solely interested in providing information and documenting findings.

Be part of this amazing day filled with culture, history, and community spirit!
