Multiple Meeting Minute Mistakes Not Included
in October 21 2024 Council Meeting Recording

After the technical difficulties at the Oct 21 City Council Meeting which resulted in no live stream for the meeting on YouTube, staff told Council that the meeting could be recorded on Teams and uploaded to the City YouTube Channel. Unfortunately, part of the proceedings are missing from the City recording.

The City Of Medicine Hat did not record the first few minutes of the Oct 21 meeting before the technical difficulties caused Council to recess. During the first part of the meeting, Mayor Clark read the mistakes in the Oct 7 2024 Council Meeting minutes, starting on page 4 of this document. You can watch the video here.

List of Errors

One or two clerical errors are common in meeting minutes, however there were five errors in the Oct 7 Council Meeting Minutes. Three of those errors were inaccurately recorded votes.

Mayor Clark read out the following errors to Council. A unanimous vote accepted the amended minutes.

10.1.) Bylaw 4792 to Amend Electric Utility Bylaw 2244

Should be amended to say that Councillor Hirsch, not Councillor Hider moved for 3rd reading (Hider was absent)
