Negotiations between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the provincial government might be set to begin anew this week but local educators will be personally delivering their requests to Premier Danielle Smith on Tuesday.
Local teachers are calling on supporters to join them for a noon march from the Arena to Smith’s constituency office to drop off letters and postcards in support of educators.
The job action is now in its second week and has already seen a large local turnout in support of teachers from the across the region at Kin Coulee last week.
Tuesday’s march is seeking to continue to reiterate that message.
Organizers are asking for participants to meet at the Arena parking lot at noon, bring signs, letters of support, wear red and have fun.
