Accused in City Robbery While on Release on Firearm Charges Remains in Custody

A city man facing a laundry list of criminal allegations committed while on release for firearms-related charges continues to remain in custody.
Leonard Beaulieu was subject of a city police alert seeking the 33-year-old in connection with a July 31 break and enter in the Norwood neighbourhood.
Beaulieu, who had previously been convicted of a 2016 shooting homicide, was apprehended by police on Aug. 3.
The man was on release on four firearms related charges at the time of the alleged most recent offences.
In addition to charges from the July 31 incident and the four firearms related allegations he was on release on, Beaulieu is facing multiple release of conditions violations.
His next court date is set for Aug. 26.
Amero back in custody
A city man who failed to show at his first court appearance following his release from custody is back in custody.
Jeremiah James Amero, 34, was arrested and charged following a July 7 police stop which uncovered nearly 20 grams of cocaine separated into five bags along with knives including two with brass knuckles, according to a media release.
Amero was released but failed to show at his July 17 court date.
He is facing a total of five breach of conditions allegations along with drug and weapons offences.
His next court date is scheduled for Aug.26.
