Large police Presence at SW Hill Home

City police converge on a home on the corner of Sixth St. and Seventh Ave. SW Wednesday afternoon.

An incident at a residence at the corner Sixth St. and Seventh Ave. near the hospital has drawn a large police presence for much of Wednesday afternoon.

Multiple city police vehicles and officers have been at the scene since at least 1:30 pm.

Neighbours have identified the home as being the residence of Roy Jebson, 76.

City police reported on Aug. 1 that Jebson was charged with three counts of voyeurism as well as three counts related to making, possessing and accessing child pornography.

Multiple residents in the community have been watching the scene unfold with many of them speculating to the circumstances of the police presence.

Neighbours who spoke to the Medicine Hat Owl stated Jebson is known for elaborate Halloween and Christmas decorations adorning his home. Additionally, he would also cut neighbours’ lawns and shovel their sidewalks.

Jebson is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 13 after he was released from custody during a bail hearing held last week.

City police’s forensic’s van at the scene of the home Wednesday afternoon.
