Join the Prairie Pride Guild for Trans Day of Remembrance on November 20, from 6-7:30pm at the Medicine Hat Public Library downstairs in the Theatre.
Trans Day of Remembrance is an annual event that aims to honour the memory of the trans people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-trans violence in the past year.
As you enter the library theatre, feel free to grab a seat wherever you are most comfortable. The night will begin with an opening address, followed by a slideshow presentation including the names of all those lost. The slideshow will be followed by a time for silent contemplation before the closing remarks. After the formalities conclude an invitation will be extended for those wishing to stay and partake in coffee or tea, providing a space for those who wish to connect, share, and find support in our community.
If you have a name, picture or remembrance of a trans loved one lost and you would like to share, please DM us and we will include them in the slideshow.
