The Resilient and Inclusive Community Task Force was created about a year ago. One of their goals was to find a location for a 24/7 Emergency Shelter.

Two of the public members have since been elected to Council (Chris Hellman and Stuart Young) which left two vacancies for public members on the Task Force.

Today at the Public Services Committee meeting, the Owl discovered that Kym Porter and Cori Cuthbertson had been named to the Resilient and Inclusive Task Force.

Kym Porter has been very active with Moms Stop the Harm after losing her son to a drug poisoning just before he was to enter rehab, she also helps organize Coats on Finlay.

Cori Cuthbertson is the administrator for the Yuill Foundation and has also been an advocate for people with substance use issues.
